Creative cities organised the process for the future use of the Tolhuistuin, the former headquarters of Royal Dutch Shell, just across the IJ from Central Station in Amsterdam. We worked on this project for two years, between 2004 and 2006 running the selection process that led to the present users.
In this project we had the opportunity to develop new tools for finding the right combination of users for a big site
The process was completely focused on co-creation. The complex was far too big for one party to handle. We organised a competition where the competing parties were invited to work together to get optimal results.
We had the opportunity to create a beautiful book on the Tolhuistuin and the competition. Here you can find the download.
And here an article in Amsterdam newspaper Parool on November 21 2006.
